How I work
During my education at the University of Applied Science in Schwaebisch Gmuend I learned to work in a very analytical and methodical way on all my projects. Therefor some of the most important things to make use of are Design-Methods Here is a summary of some methods I use:
Personas Stakeholder-Map SWOT-Analysis Questionnaires Brainstorming Sketching Wire-Framing Affinity-Diagrams Storyboarding Paper-Prototyping Click Dummies Interviews User-Tests
Below I listed the general stages I go through while working on a design project
I am walking through my surrounding with my eyes wide open, always looking and recognizing if there is a demand that could be solved by utilizing design and design methods.
If there is a Problem, that should be or could be solved by the use of design, I define, analyse and communicate this problem.
After the problem is clearly defined, I start to work out a detailed concept. I visualize and develope a concepts in a structured way. On top my strength is to work in an interdisciplinary team and participate with the user.
I start to build a strategy by doing a detailed research. While developing the strategy I am working in deep empathy with my target field – I always try to focus on the users needs. This contributes to my substantial and methodical way of working.
All my implementations are aim-focused. The solution works didactical and semantical. The user is always in the center of my finished work.
The solution of my work should be functional, aesthetic, sustainable and contemporary.
After the project is finished I am always working out a detailed documentation. My documentation are either printed-, digital-, photo- or video-documentation.
